This project is a short four week taster in Digital Photography. We have a number of digital cameras which volunteers can use to experiment taking photos with.

We will also take them on a field trip to take some photos.

They then learn how to put them on the computers and can use the software Corel Paint Shop Pro X1 to change them or make them look better.

The aim of the project is to get a series of framed pictures to donate to a community building, library or to voluntary offices for other people to enjoy.

So far volunteers have been to Kingsbury Water Park, Coombe Abbey Country Park and Coventry Cathedral to take photos.

Project 2 volunteers at Coombe Abbey Country Park.

The volunteers produced four really good pictures which they framed and donated to Orchard Blythe elderly people's home in Coleshill.

Project 3 took photos at Kingsbury Water Park on a one day course. Seven volunteers attended and took some fantastic photos.

They are currently putting together a photo album of their favourite prints to donate to an elderly people's home in Atherstone.

They also have four of their pictures framed ready to donate to a community building or organisation.

We will be running more digital photography projects in the future - if you are interested or know of some young people who may benefit from the project please get in touch.
