Volunteering by the Sea

Young people went to Wales for the day to take photos of the waterfalls, steam trains, the sea and much more.

They were looking to get creative shots that they could edit, frame and donate to organisations to brighten up their walls.

The shots were excellent. Some were donated to Connexions One Stop Shop in Nuneaton and Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action, Nuneaton and Bedworth Office.

Wii Projects

The first Wii project has been hailed a massive success.

reVOLve received funding from Warwickshire Children and Voluntary Youth Services to buy  Wii consoles and Wii fit board for the intergenerational projects.

At the start of the year they took a group of volunteers from Nicohlas Chamberlaine School in Bedworth to Drayton Court in Camphill.

The volunteers showed the elderly residents how to play Wii sports - tennis, golf etc... They also had a go at sking and hula hooping.

You can read more about the project in the Coventry Evening Telegraph and Children and Young People.

Recycled Fashion Show

The Recycled Fashion Show was a great success, with over 100 people turned up to it and it helped raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer Research UK.

Also the clothes were purchased from local Charity shops by the models themselves, so a big thank you to all who were involved in the event.
